Please review and distribute as appropriate.

The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV) continues statewide
implementation of WebAgent-Subcontractor (WebSub) with substantial
completion expected by December 31, 2012. All converted locations should
return their Remote Sticker Printing System (RSPS) equipment by January
14, 2013.

As of November 16, 2012, 74 counties have implemented WebSub, 50 of
which are counties with subcontractors. Please continue to work with
your Regional Service Center Manager to complete implementation in your

WebSub reference and training materials have been added to the Tax
Assessor-Collector’s Information Hub as well as a link to a county
training module on the Learning Management System under the “Other”
heading. We have also created a link to a Subcontractor Resource Page to
provide subcontractors the information they need regarding WebSub.
Subcontractors with PowerPoint software will be able to access a WebSub
electronic learning training module on this page.

We have received questions from subcontractors regarding Token Trailer
renewals. We want to ensure all WebSub users are aware of the

Token Trailer customers can renew their registration at a subcontractor
location. In December 2010, the TxDMV made programming changes to
eliminate the printing of the license plate sticker for Token Trailers.
At that time, the TxDMV did not include this change to the software on
the RSPS laptops; however, the change has been included in WebSub.
Therefore, the plate sticker on the receipt will be printed with
‘VOID’ on it.
Token Trailer customers should be directed to keep their receipt with
them at all times when operating the Token Trailer on public roads. The
registration receipt can confirm plate validity and registration.

The following is an update on the major corporate subcontractor’s

implemented. They expect to be fully implemented before the end of the
- Kroger has 82 of their 86 current subcontractor locations

- Tom Thumb and Randall’s have 44 of their 90 current subcontractor
locations implemented. They are working to be fully implemented before
the end of the year.
- HEB continues to integrate WebSub into their point-of-sale system.
Deployment is expected to begin in early 2013. HEB will develop and
coordinate with the counties a deployment schedule well in advance of
