This message is intended for the 173 Counties participating in IVTRS (RTS/TxO). All others may disregard.

Please review and distribute as appropriate:

Texas NICUSA (NIC), the new managing partner of the TexasOnline Web site, will begin testing a new Transaction Processing Engine sometime in the next week to verify that the new payment engine is posting transactions successfully for each county. To accommodate testing, counties participating in IVTRS will see a $0.36 test transaction deposited to their bank accounts during the first week of April. These counties should be able to view the deposit by April 7, 2010. The deposit will appear like the deposits from the other processors, AMEX, Discover or Global. It will be a MasterCard transaction. The new merchant number looks like a phone number, 512>65XXXXX.

If an IVTRS county does not see a test deposit by April 11th, please contact the your Regional Office. TxDMV will notify NIC who will schedule a replacement test deposit.

NICUSA will later send these counties a confirmation form which will need to be signed confirming receipt of the $0.36 test transaction. The confirmation form will be provided electronically. The county should print the form, sign, date, provide a contact phone number and return the signed form to the TxDMV via fax to 512-467-3994. TxDMV will then advise NICUSA to process refunds for the $0.36. Although the deadline date for returning the confirmation forms is April 30th, we would appreciate it if you would fax the form as soon as it has been signed.

You will be receiving additional listservs in the near future concerning this new vendor NIC.

If you have any questions or need any additional information please contact your local Vehicle Titles and Registration Division Regional Office.

We appreciate your assistance with this testing process which should help to make a smooth transition in June to the new TexasOnline vendor.

Thanks,

--Rebecca
