Please review and distribute as appropriate.
The department no longer has a contract with United Parcel Service (UPS) for return of department equipment by the counties. The current contract is with Federal Express (FedEx).
Therefore, any counties that have received preprinted UPS air bills previously provided to return department equipment for overnight, second day, or ground delivery services should cease using them immediately. Further, any of these UPS preprinted air bills should be destroyed immediately.
Counties should now use FedEx for this purpose. Please note that a supply of preprinted FedEx air bills will not be provided to county offices. Rather, the RTS Technical Support will contact county offices to arrange for an air bill when an equipment pickup request is made.
If an office initiates a request for a FedEx pickup, it is imperative that the shipment be prepared within one business day to avoid additional charges for non-ready shipments.
