[Vtr-tac] House Bill 2918 - Dealer's Duty to Notify Buyers of Compulsory Inspection

This is notification of the provisions of House Bill 2918, as enacted by the 81st Legislature, Regular Session effective September 1, 2009.  This bill amends Chapter 2301 of the Occupations Code by adding Section 2301.363.  

This section requires motor vehicle dealers to provide written notice to motor home or travel trailer buyers informing them that the vehicle that they are purchasing is required to be inspected annually.  (Travel trailers with gross weights of 4500 lbs. or less are exempt from this requirement.)  The dealer must present this notification to the buyer at the time of sale or exchange.
