[Vtr-tac] Disabled Veteran License Plates Issued by Other States

This is notification of the provisions of House Bill 2020 enacted by the 81st Legislature, Regular Session.  House Bill 2020 amended Transportation Code Sections 681.008(a) and (b) to exempt owners and operators of vehicles with disabled veteran license plates issued by other states from paying certain parking fees in Texas, and is effective September, 1, 2009.

This legislation requires no action by the Vehicle Titles and Registration Division or the county tax assessor-collector staff.  It will require customer service awareness in case law enforcement or anyone else seeks clarification.
