This is notification of the provisions of Senate Bill 969 enacted by the 81st Legislature, Regular Session. Senate Bill 969 amended Transportation Code Section 622.902 (7), by adding new length restrictions for a vehicle or combination of vehicles used to transport a combine for farm harvesting operations and specifying operation on certain highways. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009.
The new overall length of the vehicle or combination of vehicles cannot be more than 75 feet if the vehicle is traveling on a highway that is part of the national system of interstate and defense highways or the federal aid primary highway system.

81.5 feet if the vehicle is not traveling on a highway that is part of the national system of interstate and defense highways or the federal aid primary highway system.
